Solidarity Forever: A Radical Pop-Up Installation

Chicago! Join us Saturday August 29th for Solidarity Forever: A Radical Pop-Up Installation at Haymarket House.
This pop-up features t-shirts from the extensive collection of Kipp Dawson ‘94. An activist, coal miner, and educator, Dawson built coalitions for over sixty years in some of the nation’s largest movements for freedom and justice. Her astonishing career of intersectional activism stretched from the frontlines of the Civil Rights Movement and Vietnam anti-war movement, to the women’s movement, gay liberation movement, labor movement, and education justice movement. She helped to lead some of the pivotal and most famous sit-ins, rallies, and marches which led to crucial victories.
Material from her work will be displayed as an installation inside of Haymarket House from 12PM-3PM.
